All citizens of Chile, regardless of the duration of their stay, and all foreigners who stay in the country for at least 60 consecutive days may have to pay the national sales tax (19%) when checking out. To receive tax exemption, foreign citizens must pay for their stay upon entry in foreign currency (not Chilean pesos) or with a credit card issued abroad and present a valid passport along with the migration card they received upon entry into the country. If a person subject to paying the tax and another exempt from the same share a room, the rate may be applied to the entire room. A damage deposit of USD 100 is required on arrival. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Please note: - A prepayment deposit of 50% of the total of your stay is required to secure your reservation. Local guests can provide a bank transfer, while foreign guests must transfer via PayPal. The property will contact you after you book to provide any bank transfer instructions. - All Chilean citizens, resident foreigners and foreigners must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19%.
