Since October 2017, all owners of quadrocopters and other unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) are required to register their devices with the National Television and Radio Commission of Thailand (NBTC). Due to COVID-19, Chiang Mai local authority has announced measures taking effect from Jan 5, 2021 till further notice, All travelers entering Chiang Mai through all modes of transport must register on CM-Chana application before entering the province.
