As of April 1,2021 VISITAX for foreign tourists comes into force. Payment in the amount of 224 Mexican pesos (or $10 USD per person) can be done through the web portal http://visitax.gob.mx/. Foreign tourists can pay before or during their stay in Quintana Roo. Proof of payment must be presented at the airport prior to departure. The host charges this 7 days before arrival. This will be collected by PayPal. You should be reimbursed within 7 days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via PayPal, subject to an inspection of the property.
