The ferry to Texel

In less than 15 minutes you drive to Den Helder, where the ferry takes you to Texel in 20 minutes. This largest Wadden Island invites you to a day full of adventure. Explore the picturesque villages, discover nature reserves such as De Slufter, and visit the seal sanctuary **Ecomare**. Cycling on Texel is highly recommended, with perfectly maintained cycle paths leading you through forests, dunes and along the coast.

Beach and sea

Breezand is a short distance from the wide sandy beaches of Julianadorp aan Zee. The beach is also easily accessible by bicycle via the Westeinde ferry. Whether you are looking for relaxation in the sun, a refreshing dip, or a lovely walk along the surf, this beach has something for everyone. During the summer months, beach pavilions offer cosy places to eat and drink, while in the winter months the beach is an oasis of calm. Julianadorp aan zee has several restaurants and good shopping facilities.

Directly from the holiday home, you can start beautiful cycling routes that take you through the colourful bulb fields, quiet polder landscapes and picturesque villages. Along the coastline, you cycle through the dunes with breathtaking sea views. With well-marked cycle paths and little traffic, this area is perfect for both recreational and experienced cyclists. If required, rental bikes can be delivered to the holiday home.
