Outside the city you will find the Pyrenees massif, with fantastic hiking trails and impressive cols that are a must-see for keen cyclists (Pic du Midi). The border with Spain is nearby and a walk around Lac de Lourdes guarantees memorable holiday photos. The ski resort of Bagnères de Bigorre is definitely worth a visit in summer too, as is the impressive waterfall of Gavarnie
