À propos de cette tournée
So much more than just a launch pad for Antarctic expeditions, Ushuaia and its surrounds offer a whole lot to adventurous travellers. And the best bit? You only need a day to experience the highlights of the region. Join a local guide and journey into the wild landscapes of Tierra del Fuego National Park where you’ll hike, canoe and dine on the riverbank in a heated dome (a glass of Malbec and epic views included). You don’t have to travel to the ends of the earth for an adventure, but if you’re after awe-inspiring, untouched scenery, it’s certainly worth the trip. On Short Breaks, you maintain a good level of independence and freedom, with the added bonus of having the details sorted out for you. You’ll have lots of free time and you won’t be accompanied by a Trip Leader. This means that all included activities and tours will be run by different local Intrepid partners, and these may operate independently from each other. The included activities and transfers will operate on a join-in basis, which means that you could have your Adventure all to yourself, or others may join you along the way. If you would prefer to travel in a group with a dedicated Trip Leader, just get in touch with your booking agent and they will take you through some alternatives. This itinerary has been designed for passengers travelling to Antarctica on board the Ocean Endeavour, embarking in Ushuaia. The trip concludes at your Ocean Endeavour hotel in time to join the group briefing for your voyage. This trip is operated by one of our local partners in Argentina and therefore you may be joined by a mixture of Intrepid-booked passengers and other travellers during activities.Information may be delivered in English and Spanish, depending on the requirements of the group. This trip includes trekking and canoeing. Please ensure you bring sturdy walking shoes and comfortable clothes. It’s best to wear layers at all times of the year in case conditions change during the day.To make the most of the trip, it's best if you have at least a moderate level of fitness.
