Bless the rains of East Africa on an eight-day safari adventure through Kenya and Tanzania. The famed national parks in the Serengeti, Amboseli, and Ngorongoro regions are home to an astounding array of animals, from miniature dik-dik antelopes and lions to the noble African elephant. With local guides and all your needs taken care of, you’re free to spot wildlife and soak up the amazing atmosphere. Head out on several safaris in search of Africa’s iconic animals in the back of specially designed safari vehicles. Look for the endangered black rhino in Ngorongoro Crater and giant tusker elephants in Amboseli National Park. With stops at a local community in Mto wa Mbu and an informative visit to the Kimana Ranger Project, this journey is fit for the most curious traveller, eager to meet locals and explore the fertile savannahs of Africa’s east.This is an overland trip. That means you’ll be travelling with a group in a purpose-built vehicle, visiting remote communities, setting up your own tent (unless you’re on an Original or Comfort style trip), occasionally roughing it in the bush with no facilities, and getting the best possible views of the Big Five. While the trucks don’t have air conditioning, they do have sliding windows which let in the breeze and make it even easier to take spectacular snaps of the local wildlife. The drive days can be long, but it’s as much about the journey as the destination, and half the fun is the camaraderie.
