Additional transaction fees may apply for local residents, as well as additional VAT, which must be paid at the hotel. Payable directly to the hotel by local residents only. Tourists will receive a refund for the VAT Tax, when they pay for their accommodations. To receive the refund, they must pay with a foreign credit card or provide their passport number and confirm their address. Argentinean citizens and residents will be charged an additional 21% value added tax. Only foreign guests who pay with a foreign credit card or debit card are exempt from this 21% additional fee (VAT) in accommodations and breakfast when presenting a foreign passport or a foreign ID along with a supporting document handed by the national migrations authority, if applicable.
