If the sugar-white sand and renowned surf didn’t already have you sold, Tamarindo beach is also blessed with hatchings of rare leatherback turtles. Visit in March, April and May for the ‘arribada’ (arrival), where thousands of turtles lay their eggs under the light of the full moon. There’s an ADA compliant room with a wheelchair-width doorway, extra-large roll-in shower, tailored bathroom facilities and roll-on balcony access.
