Discover the quiet, majestic calm of the vast wilderness of Alaska, filled with striking landscapes and abundant wildlife. Take an eight-day journey through its untamed heart and travel from Anchorage through Denali National Park on an Alaskan safari, keeping an eye out for grizzlies, caribou and moose along the way. Walk through forests, around mountain ranges and past huge glaciers and drive down the coast to Kenai Fjords. Discover Talkeetna, Seward and Turnagain Arm and enjoy heaps of free time to customise your adventure with opportunities for hikes, kayaking, mountain climbing and scenic flights. This trip includes time spent travelling in a private vehicle with your group. Extra space can be tight, and conditions may feel a little cramped. It’s all part of the adventure and a great way to get to know your fellow travellers. Please read the itinerary carefully for travel time estimates.While Alaska can experience warm summers, you should still be prepared for cold temperatures, especially at night, and also rain, which can (and does) happen year-round.This trip is designed to offer a balance of included activities and free time for optional excursions. Your leader will have plenty of recommendations for your free time and will be able to assist with booking optional activities with trusted local suppliers.
