About this tour
Trek the historic Mail Trail connecting Escalante and Boulder through some of Utah’s most incredible landscapes. Over five days, make your way through the valleys of the Grand Staircase — Escalante National Monument, following rivers, walking through high-altitude forests and camping under rock faces and by natural springs. Explore the rock formations carved into the stone over centuries and marvel in the kaleidoscopic colours of the sandstone that makes this area so spectacular. This is a hiking trip, so a good fitness level will help you enjoy all included hikes and activities.This trip involves daily hiking ranging in distance from 2.5-7 miles (4-11 km) per day over rugged terrain with a total trip distance of up to 28 miles (45 km). The maximum daily elevation gain/loss is 1400 feet (427 m).
